Hi
I’m Carole Lloyd and my travels tend to focus on history, the countryside and nature, wildlife, wildflowers and photography of all of the above. For more photos of my travels click on this link “Carole Lloyd Photography”. Click the button below to access my portfolio on Fine Art America.

I was born in the United Kingdom and have always been drawn back there. But I also love exploring other countries and their cultures. I find history fascinating and never get bored wandering around old ruins taking photos and imagining the people who must have lived and worked there before events and time took their toll. Travelling independently allows me to get immersed in my photography without inconveniencing others.

Mountains, oceans, lakes and meadows! Trickling streams and raging rivers, waterfalls, mysterious woods filled with ancient trees, vibrant green moss and tangled roots. Stark deserts and icy plains, snow filled branches, leaves and petals tipped with frost, bubbling pools of dark mud and geysers shooting for the sky. Wildflowers and wildlife greeting each season. If you look hard enough, you’ll find them all and more – and that’s why I travel.

Beaghmore Stone Circles
Northern Ireland The green grass, wildflowers and bogs of Northern Ireland hold many ancient secrets and I was anxious to see and experience as many of them as I possible could in my two weeks of exploration. I was staying at Cookstown in a lovely B&B called The Manorview. My hostess was friendly, served a Read more
